| Saturday, July 11, 1 to 4 P.M. - Meet artist Tom Martino. The Painter's Path highlights original oil paintings completed over the last year. In this set of paintings the artist has tackled a variety of lighting challenges, especially exploiting the local overcast conditions of our last spring and early summer. Some of the local scenery includes Clingstone as seen off Jamestown, Scarborough Beach, Greenhaven Vineyard (Portsmouth) and Wickford Harbor, RI. Tom has taught painting workshops in both Rhode Island and Connecticut. He is a member of the Cape Cod Art Association and his paintings can be found in local galleries as well as in private and corporate collections. Take home your very own original painting at a very reasonable price! |

Saturday, July 25, 2 to 4 P.M. - Author event with Robert St.Marie -
|
"If you believe that gargoyles are mere statues found at churches, you are mistaken, as were Jacob and Cheryl Sterns, until they came face-to-frightening-face with one. Humble convenience store clerk Walter Archemis becomes an unexpected hero when he rescues the twins from danger at the hands of Duster the menacing gargoyle. Yet the twins become marked with a sinister bond, and the tortuous creatures of stone will not leave them alone. Now under the protection of Archimes - revealed to the twins as a vampire from an ancient world and charged with the mission to protect human mortals from the Gothic granite ghouls - the twins must endeavor a terrifying quest to evade them." About the Author: Robert St. Marie has been telling stories his whole life. His main goals have always been to entertain, to question social norms, and, whenever possible, create chills that run down the spine. He grew up in a small border town in Massachusetts, where he now lives with his wife, two children and a Pixie who likes to pretend she's a cat. He enjoys writing, storytelling, hiking in the local state forest and going to the zoo. A great many stories have evolved from those trips, and this is no exception. He has been published multiple times as a poet but this is his first novel. |
